Get to know us better
Frequently asked questions.
Here you can find answers about what inspires us and how we can build this community together.
What is roscaille?
We are a community where everyone shares what they know, and together we bring that knowledge to the people who need it most. We want to build connections in Colombia and around the world so that people willing to help can meet those looking for support.
Who is behind roscaille?
It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Andres Bobadilla, and I am the founder of this community. Bringing it to life takes many hands and many voices willing to help. That is why this space belongs to all of us.
What do we hope to achieve?
We want to reach people, makers, writers, communities and small projects that need support, knowledge, visibility or connections to take their next step.
We are inspired by the thought that community support can open up new paths for other people, communities and initiatives.
Why do we talk so much about seed beads?
They are tiny beads used to make bracelets in different parts of the world. In their resilience and the way they come together, I found a symbol that gave meaning to what I wanted to build with roscaille.
Seed beads inspire our identity and the way we see the world.
That is why you will find references to them throughout this website.
How can I volunteer?
All you need to do is fill in the volunteer form, escribirnos por WhatsApp or use the email address on our contact page.
Can I take part from another country?
Of course. We would love to have a team in different parts of the world to help this community reach further.
Wherever you are, we can build connections that bring people in your region closer to knowledge, people and opportunities elsewhere in the world.
What if I would like to propose a collaboration?
We are always happy to listen. Tell us what you are creating or what you would like to move forward, and let us talk about how we can support one another along the way.
You can get in touch as an individual or on behalf of a group or institution.
How do we plan to sustain this project?
We do not accept money. We want to sustain this project through the time, effort and knowledge of our community members.
If you have materials or an item that could support initiatives in your region, we can talk about how to use them to launch or strengthen an initiative that aligns with the foundation’s purpose.
Where can I find activities and ways to take part?
In our Initiatives section you will find projects and ways to get involved. You can also message us on WhatsApp or follow our YouTube channel for the latest news from the community.
